Toucan Diversity Training (“we”) try to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information in accordance with the current data protection law.

We promise with this privacy policy to respect any personal data you share with us, or that we get from other organisations and keep it safe.  We aim to be clear when we collect your data and not do anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect.

Developing a better understanding of our supporters through their personal data allows us make better decisions, measure social impact and fundraise more efficiently. Ultimately, it helps us to reach our goal of enabling a social change in attitudes towards disabled people.  We have made improvements to this policy to make it more understandable to supporters of Toucan Diversity.

In May 2018, we will be moving to be an ‘opt-in only’ communication policy. This means that we will only send marketing communications to those that have explicitly stated that they are happy for us to do so via their preferred channel(s) (email or social media)

Our marketing communications include information about our training events and fundraising campaigns. If you would like to receive such communications but have not opted in please contact us via our contact page.

Social Media

Toucan Diversity uses a range of social media services to publicise our training, fundraising and social impact studies from interested parties including through direct messages, which are private, and through posts which are public to other social media users.

The information people provide via social media is subject to the social media service providers’ privacy notices and policies.

Visitors to Our Website 

When you visit our website to view we will collect the following information automatically:

  • the domain name (if available) and IP address from which you accessed our site
  • the date and time you visited
  • the pages you viewed
  • the type of browser and operating system you used

We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site which helps us to improve our website service. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.

We use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect this information. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
